Can't kill java process

Hi all!

We are running JBoss+Tomcat with java 1.3.1 and, sometimes it hangs. The
problem is that we can't kill the bastard. :-)

Normally JBoss+Tomcat dies a few seconds after "kill -15" but this one
never dies even with several "kill -9".

It has no children, and it's status is Runnable and Niced:
>
> F S UID PID PPID %CPU PRI NI RSS WCHAN
STARTED TIME COMMAND

/usr/opt/java131/bin/../bin/alpha/native_threads/java
-Djavax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory=org.apache.crimson.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl
-Djavax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory=org.apache.crimson.jaxp.SAXParserFacto
ryImpl -classpath
:/usr/opt/java131/lib/tools.jar:run.jar:../lib/crimson.jar
org.jboss.Main tomcat

Any hints?

TIA!

Fernando
