DLT vs. SDLT and Ultrium

We often have problems reading tapes when we transfer data from one system
to another. Has anybody else experienced this on a frequent basis?

We are using TZ89 rackmount and TZ89 tabletop drives.

Has anybody found that migrating to SDLT or Ultrium drives provides a
higher level of reliability?
