TRU64 Managers

We are using 5.1a pk5 (A) on the server we are coping to and 5.1a pk4 (B) on
the server we are copying from. Server A is a ES40 and server B is an ES45.
The both servers have two, two port nic cards that are netrained together.
The servers have two IP address assigned to them. The first one is assigned
to a FQN and the second is used for Admin and backup type functions. The
second IP address does not have a fully qualified name.

I had a DBA doing a remote copy and this is the error that was generated
from that attempt.

rcp -p [server b]:/u50/oradata/prd1/* /u50/oradata/devm/.

rcp: can't truncate /u51/oradata/devm/./aol_indx01.dbf.bkp: I/O error

rcp: can't truncate /u50/oradata/devm/./apce01.dbf.bkp: I/O error

rcp: can't truncate /u50/oradata/devm/./bom04.dbf.bkp: I/O error

rcp: can't truncate /u50/oradata/devm/./bom_indx02.dbf.bkp: I/O error

We have been doing this type of activity for sometime and have had no
problems until recently. The errors occur on the different files. The file
are copied but are not copied correctly. They end up being much smaller than
they should be.

What is this error telling us and why? How do we fix the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help
