More info: can't see HSZ LUNs

        I have found out that there is a problem with HSZ40 that has level
3.7-0 firmware. Evidently it has to be 3.7-1. This conflicts with the
matrix that I had here which says that 3.4 is the minimum for 5.1a.

        I have some more information, though, that says two conflicting
things:

1.) A fix for this problem is now available via a patch that can be obtained
from the Compaq Customer Support Center

2.) If you confirm that the Vendor ID is no longer valid, the controller
must be replaced.

        So which one is it? Does the HSZ have to be replaced, or is there a
patch? And if there is a patch, is it an ERP for the OS or does the HSZ
have to be patched?

        As it turns out, the HSZ controllers on the box that survived the
upgrade were just replaced with new ones. I need to find out what I have to
do to the other box.
