SUMMARY: Sendmail and Exchange...

Thanks for all the responses. I set up one of our Win NT Servers as a DNS
server (as I found this easier than configuring one on Tru64). I then set up
the Tru64 host in question as a DNS slave server. The DNS names were
assigned based on Rich Copeland's following suggestion:
---------------------
If the Exchange server can receiver mail like this:
FirstName.LastName@company.com then you set the Tru64 mail relay to forward
all mail not destined for the local server to be forwarded to the mail relay
company.com then if you send a mail message on Tru64 such as $ mailx -v -s
"Subject" FirstName.LastName@company.com < file.txt this message will be
sent to that user on the exchange server. We further set up accounts on
Tru64 that want their local mail sent to their exchange mailbox with a file
in their home directory called: .forward and in this file you place one
line:
FirstName.LastName@company.com and then when you send a message to this
local user it will be forwarded to their exchange mailbox.
----------------------

Also, I configured the Mail server on Tru64 using Michael Bradford's
detailed description of the "mailsetup" utility. This ensured that the email
could be sent from Tru64 to the Exchange server. Additionally, I had to
configure the Exchange Administrator under its "Connections->Internet Mail
Service->Connections-> Specify by E-Mail Domains" to include the Tru64 host
name. This enabled Exchange to send emails to Tru64.

The whole thing great! Thanks a lot again.
