Thanks for all the responses and suggestions but none have solved the
problem so far.....I have narrowed the problem a little bit further
perhaps.
I can scp from machine A (running Tru64 5.1b) to any machine. I cant
scp from those other machines back to machine A though. So the problem
is just in one direction.......
Things tried so far:
running same versions of ssh on both ends.
changing both ends to protocol 2 only.
checking the .profile, .ksh etc to make sure they arent spewing extra data.
changing the version of ssl.
making sure that scp is in the path on both ends. (added a soft link in
/usr/bin, /bin).
crossing only the last two toes on my left foot :-)
If anyone has scp running on 5.1b I would love to hear what version of
ssl you run, what version of ssh you run and what compile options you
used on both.......
