Forced crash produces no crashdump

Hi all,

My configuration:
Two Compaq ES 45 Alphaserver, firmware v. 6.5-20
Tru64 Unix v. 5.1b, TruCluster v. 5.1b
Memory channel interconnect. Two CCMAB-AA (Module Revision 36)
adapters in each member, virtual hub mode .

Problem:

If one of the memory channel rails is not available (LED on yellow)
member1 hangs in reboot.
The last boot message is:

vmunix: TNC kproc_creator_daemon: Initialized and Ready

I have a call open for this problem and HP-Support
asked me to do a forced crash and send them my crashdump.

And thats my problem now:

When member1 hangs i push the halt button, enter crash on console,
reboot and ... no crashdump. Nothing in /var/adm/crash !?!

savecore -P reports no dumps in the swap partition.
But i can produce a dump on the commandline with dumpsys.

I checked the wwid numbers of the swap disk on the console
(read somewhere that this may be the cause). They are OK.

BTW: No problems to force a crashdump on member2.

Anyone had this problem before?
Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

Harald
