Tru64 4.0F PK8 - dependencies

 Hi Folks,

I wondered whether anyone has run into problems installing the latest
patchkit for 4.0F (patchkit 8)? I couldn't find anything on the list
archive.

This relates to individually installed security patches conflicting with
patches rolled into the cumulative kit.

I get two different effects on similar machines:-

On System 1, in baselining it lists patch 1493 (a jumbo I think) as having
patch applicability conflicts with each of my previously installed SSRT
patches - loads of them.

On System 2, it passes baselining, but then complains about problems
installing 32 patches because of conflicts with (so-called) Customer
Specific Patches. leaving these out, it then complains about needing the
jumbo patch 1493 for a further 78 patches.

I know some people have seen this problem in the past (Hi Bob! :) but
wondered whether anyone else has got the problem with this patchkit. Please
tell me I don't have to un-install dozens of patches that were *not*
Customer Specific.

 Thanks for any help,

  Lindsay
