  Hello,
I received 2 replies. It seems that I may not get an
AFS client SW version for Tru64 v5.1B. So I am going
back to OS 5.1A. The following people replied and thanks
very much.:Mr.T Blinn and Mr.Andrei Maslennikov.

Unfortunately, looks like an AFS bug. AFS interacts with the UBC which is
the buffer cache for file data in the kernel. It tried to release a page
that was not actually being used as it thought. Why this is I can't say
without access to the AFS sources and a crash dump and a system on which
I can experiment. There have been changes in the kernel internals in the
area of UBC, so I'm not necessarily surprised that AFS code that appears
to work correctly in V5.1A can fail in V5.1B.

5.1B IS NOT AND WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED. I have asked Transarc about it, and
they say that support for this OS is stopped. 6 months ago they have also
promised to make us an offer for a private port to 5.1B, but there were no
news since then.

Andrei.

My question was:
