Cluster-Alias Problem

Hello,

we have 2 Compaq DEC machines (server1 and server2: OSF1 Tru64 V5.1 1885
alpha).

server1 and server2 are two cluster members. The cluster alias name is:
aliasserver.

I can ping (telnet, ssh, ...) server1 and server2 from every other server in
the network but not the alias name (aliasserver).

Can you tell me please what I have to check to get connection the alias
name.
