DS10 and the new DS15 - memory requirements

Managers,

A quick question regarding DS10 memory requirements, and the new replacement
DS15 servers just announced.

They are listed as "100MHz 200pin ECC DIMM" but the only 200 pin devices I
have seen are SO-DIMM used on laptops.

For DS10 Kingston etc. have equivalents for the HP MS310 memory kits, but
are the actual DIMMs themselves generic parts or is the 200 pin form-factor
proprietary to HP?

I ask because on the new DS15 server announced last month, the memory is
specified as:

" Industry-standard DIMMs with ECC support
  512-MB memory kit, two 200-pin, 133-MHz, 256-MB DIMMs 3X-MS315-EA
  1-GB memory kit, two 200-pin, 133-MHz, 512-MB DIMMs 3X-MS315-FA
  2-GB memory kit, two 200-pin, 133-MHz, 1-GB DIMMs 3X-MS315-GA
"

It sounds like a faster 133Mhz version of the DS10 memory. But the DS15
servers are so new that no vendors have generic memory listed yet for MS315
equivalents.

If the DS10 100MHz DIMMs are generic parts, then chances are the DS15 133MHz
will be too. But if the DS10 is proprietary then at the moment there are no
alternative vendors to HP for memory on the new servers.

HP memory of course is rediculously expensive (>$3k per GB) for this
entry-level AlphaServer.

thanks.
