FTP w/chroot & encrypted password

Hi true-managers,

Scenario:
Tru645.1B + PK2
ES40

Does anybody have experiences/info regarding a secure
FTP with chroot + encrypted password features ?

Up to now we were using wu-ftp, choice of many members
of this list, it chroots ok but auditing people here
¨strongly asks¨ that ftp users passwords have to be
encrypted because of some application reason.

Any url, info, recommendation, criterion... will be
deeply appreciated.
