Trouble Booting TruCluster System

Dear Managers,

I am using one of the site managers' email account. Please respond to the sender's address.

while trying to restart a Tru64 UNIX cluster (entire cluster is down), I am getting a message that the cluster_lockd has exited and that human intervention is required to resume availability. This mesage is followed by the message "could not start cluster_lockd. Besides that the node is taking extremely long to boot.

The system is a pair of AlphaServer GS80 systems and they are running Tru64 UNIX version 5.1A. There does not seem to be any hardware problems I can discern. How should I proceed?
