I have an AS4100 TRU64 v4.0g system with System V installed on it. I
would like to print text to a network attached HP LaserJet printer in
landscape mode. I am able to print regular text files in portrait modes
thru the queue already defined.
I have tried a number of options with lpadmin but have been unsuccessful
till now.

#Lpsystem sys_name
#lpadmin -p printer_name -T hplaser -I hplaserof,simple -s sys_name
#accept printer_name
#enable printer_name
#lpshut
#start lpsched
#lpr -P printer_name /etc/motd (works fine)
# lpr -P printer_name -O landscape /etc/motd
UX:lpr: ERROR: There is no filter to convert the file content.
TO FIX: Use the lpstat -p -l command to find a
printer that can handle the file type
directly, or consult with your system
               administrator.

#lpstat -p -l
printer printer_name is idle. enabled since Tue Aug 12 18:22:15 EDT
2003. available.
        Content types: hplaserof, simple
        Printer types: hplaser
        Description:
        Users allowed:
                (all)
        Forms allowed:
                (none)
        Banner not required
        Character sets:
                (none)
Default pitch: 10 CPI 6 LPI
Default page size: 80 wide 60 long

Am I missing something? Are there some different switches that I have to
use to define in the lpadmin?

I will summarize.

Regards,
