We're preparing to migrate from an AS4000 running Tru64 version 4.0G to a
new ES47 with Tru64 version 5.1B. On one partition we use ACLs heavily to
restrict access to particular files and directories. According to the
'man' pages, 'vrestore' should restore ACLs. When I use a backup tape
created on the 4.0G system and try to restore to the 5.1B system, the ACLs
for the files are restored but the ACLs on the directories aren't. And,
yes, ACLs are enabled in sysconfigtab. Any idea why 'vrestore' isn't
bringing the directory ACLs along? Thanks in advance.
