Hi All,
Hmm.. decided to do some more serious work with my AS1200, so reinstalled the machine (which
was running 5.0 so far) with 5.1B, and did the PK2 dance. All seems well.
BUT...
.. while compiling (remotely, under CDE), I often get the "swap space below 10%" message,
which I started to find strange. Although I indeed only set up 128MB of swap, the machine
DOES have 1024MB of RAM.
A quick "vmstat -P" showed, that the machine reports three segments of 256.00M (exactly)
each, marked as "hole".
This probably is causing my memory problems; I assume the machine actually believes it has
only 256MB.
Is this a known issue? Anyone have more info?
Thanks lots,
Fred
