Maybe someone can refresh my memory. I knew it once but can't find the answer again.
I need to upgrade my AS2000 with 2 replacement CPU's.
Here is my current system from collect
CPU FAMILY......21064 (EV4 core) CPU ID.........EV4.5 (21064) #
# CPU EXTENSIONS.. #
# PLATFORM NAME...DEC2100_A500 CPU SPEED......233 MHz
When I added the 2nd processor I needed to make sure that there was a P somewhere. Can
anyone guess what I am talking about? This was to make sure that the CPU's were both the same.
On memory:
I have 256MB installed (2 MS452-UB installed on 1 board)
Can I use a MS451-FA in addition to the memory that I have installed? Or do I need to
replace the memory.
Are there any other gotcha's that I have to face? I have the liscenses for both current
CPU's and the additional Power supply.
Thanks for your assistance
Lets not get started with replaceing the system with a current production server because
it isn't in the budget.
