TruCluster default alias change problem

I tried changing the default cluster alias in my 5.1B Trucluster
as per the instructions on pages 5-25 and 5-26 of the TruCluster
administration manual, which involved updating /.rhosts, /etc/hosts.equiv,
/etc/hosts, and the sysconfigtab on all nodes. This also involved an IP
address changed, which was reflected in the name in /etc/hosts. (The
cluster was up in a test mode, and was replacing an existing system, hence
the need to make the name change).

After rebooting, clu_get_info showed the name change, but response
to the cluster alias was extremely slow. A telnet to the cluster alias
would result in a 2 minute wait for a login prompt. After making the same
changes back to the original alias (using the same steps) the response
time was normal to the cluster alias.

As a work around, I added the new alias with cluamgr which works
fine, however, I really need it to be the default alias so that outbound
connections will appear to come from the correct IP address.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Thanks,

Tom
