Hello Managers,
We have two Alpha 4100 servers running on trucluster
ver 1.6 and the OS is Tru64 ver 4.0f and this systems
are our file servers.
We have some 9 nfs services running in both systems (4
and 5 each). using asemgr we will reallocate the
service from server A to B or B to A. Also we have
configured in such a way that if A fails, all services
of A will be shifted to B. Also the services are
running on mirrored disks.
Inference:
---------
Voldisk list command will give info abt the disks
status whether offline/online depending on the service
running in local system. If the service is running in
the A system it will show as online and if the service
is running in the other cluster member i.e. B system
it will show as offline.
Problem:
--------
One of the service while reallocating from B to A,
service is getting reallocated to A with one device
working on the mirrored volume and the other disk info
is not getting shifted.
This is the voldisk info while service is running in
A:
#voldisk list
rzd144c offline
rzd128c online
voldisk info of server B
rzd144c online
rzd128c offline
Observation:
------------
For other working services we have either both offline
/ online depending on the service availability
I can very much reattach the disk manually after
shifting the service but syncing will again take 5
hours since the disks are 36GB's.Again reallocation
will repeat the above problem. This problem we are
facing for two services.I have rebooted the systems.
Any solutions/suggestions will be helpful
