Hi,
We have a TZ89 on an XP 1000, Tru64 UNIX V4.0G. The drive is used
exclusively for nightly backups with dump. The equipment is some
3 years old and has functioned perfectly until now.
During the last few weeks the drive has gone offline twice for no
obvious reason. I.e., scu show edt does not list it. Trying to
access the drive by mt or file hangs for a while, then there is a
message saying no such device. There are also corresponding entries
in the error log. The device does however come back if we reboot the
machine.
Has anyone on this list seen similar behaviour, and if so, how did
you solve the problem? I would appreciate any help or direction.
