Question on printcap entry and printer filter error referencing accounting

Dear Tru64 UNIX managers,

I have inherited a system running Tru64 UNIX v4.0F which has the System
Accounting subset installed, but not enabled.

There are a number of printers defined in this system's printcap file
which generate errors in their error logfiles located in the /var/adm directory.

The parameters in their printcap entries are the same except for:

1.) the remote printer name in lp parameter
2.) the printer number as it appears in the lf and sd parameters

Here is the entry in the printer error logfile which I am referring to:

#tail -6 /var/adm/lp10err
<<
pcfof Warning:
XF mode and auto passthru are not permitted when accounting
is specified. Switching to ASCII filter mode.
>>
Filter 'f' terminated (sig=-1,err=0)
#

Here is a copy of the printcap entry:

#
lp10|10|lp10|willow11_printer:\
        :if=/usr/lbin/pcfof +Chplj4000tn.pcf:\
        :lf=/usr/adm/lp10err:\
        :lp=@willow11/hp16:\
        :mx#0:\
        :of=/usr/lbin/pcfof +Chplj4000tn.pcf:\
        :pl#66:\
        :pw#180:\
        :rw:\
        :sd=/usr/spool/lpd10:\
        :xf=/usr/lbin/xf:
#

Notice that the af parameter is not set for these printers ...

Does anyone have an idea as to why these error messages are being generated?
Also, how can these errors be avoided?

I would appreciate any insights into this problem and its recommended
resolution.

Thanks !!!
