Hello Managers ,
I have seen a strange thing on my tru64 5.1a cluster
and my SAN storage ..

I created 3 Raidsets on my SAN and made them available to the cluster
and all were configured the same way .

  hwmgr -view dev
HWID: Device Name Mfg Model Location

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   275: /dev/disk/dsk19c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=114
   279: /dev/disk/dsk23c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=113
   283: /dev/scp_scsi
   284: /dev/kevm
   312: /dev/disk/floppy2c 3.5in floppy fdi0-unit-0
    77: /dev/cport/scp0 HSG80CCL bus-1-targ-0-lun-0
    79: /dev/dmapi/dmapi
    81: /dev/disk/dsk6c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=136
    82: /dev/disk/dsk7c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=139
    83: /dev/disk/dsk8c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=140
    84: /dev/disk/dsk9c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=141
    85: /dev/disk/dsk10c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=142
    86: /dev/disk/dsk11c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=137
   342: /dev/disk/cdrom4c COMPAQ CRD-8402B bus-3-targ-0-lun-0
    87: /dev/disk/dsk12c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=138
   343: /dev/disk/dsk24c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=103
   344: /dev/disk/dsk25c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=116
   #345: /dev/disk/dsk26c DEC HSG80 bus-1-targ-0-lun-105
   #346: /dev/disk/dsk27c DEC HSG80 bus-1-targ-0-lun-104
   #347: /dev/disk/dsk28c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=102
   208: /dev/disk/dsk16c COMPAQ BD0186459A bus-0-targ-0-lun-0

The devices marked "#' are the new devices ...
Could someone tell me why I got "dev/disk/dsk26c DEC HSG80
bus-1-targ-0-lun-105" and not
"dev/disk/dsk26c DEC HSG80 IDENTIFIER=102"

Any pointers

Thanks in advance

yogesh
