I tried booting an installation CD of both version 5.0 and 5.1B of Tru64
on the second DS10 in the cluster, which has no local disks. The
installation couldn't find them either, despite them showing up in the
show dev on the console. It printed this message several times:

device_translate: device cannot be translated 'RAID'
prom_getenv: Unable to convert 'RAID 0 15 0 0 0 0 0'

Then exited with:

Error:
<Press RETURN for more>:
This system appears to have no disks. The installation procedure
requires at least one disk. If there is a disk in the system, you
should confirm that it is properly connected, and then start the
installation procedure again from the ">>>" prompt. If you have
already done this, contact a customer service representative.

The show dev from SRM again shows the disks being there:

Has anyone seen the above message before?

Thanks,

Tom
