We have two Alpha 2000 5/250, one runs Tru64 4.0g, the other runs Tru64
5.1a

when I issue psrinfo -v on the 4.0g machine, it makes no mention of cpu
cache...

Status of processor 0 as of: 05/19/03 14:32:13
  Processor has been on-line since 04/15/2003 11:14:23
The alpha EV5 (21164) processor operates at 250 MHz,
and has an alpha internal floating point processor.

when I issue psrinfo -v on the 5.1a machine, it tells me that the cpu has
4Mb cache...

Status of processor 0 as of: 05/19/03 14:30:40
  Processor has been on-line since 10/14/2002 16:33:27
The alpha EV5 (21164) processor operates at 250 MHz,
has a cache size of 4194304 bytes,
and has an alpha internal floating point processor.

Does the 4.0g version of psrinfo not report cpu cache size, or does that
machine really not have any cpu cache?

Is there some other tru64 4.0g command that I can use to determine cpu
cache?

Thank you,
Eddie
