Greetings,
My dba's are having a problem installing Oracle 9i on my true 64 5.1
cluster. It seems that they need 400 meg on the /tmp file system. I do
not have that much space on the /tmp file system. They want to increase
the size of it. My /tmp is part of my cluster_root#root file system and I
know I can not dynamically increase the size of this partition. What we
did in our test cluster was to move /tmp to /tmp.tmp and the link /tmp to
some other file system with enough room, but I'm uncomfortable doing that
in the production environment.
Any other thought on how to get around a temporary need for added space in
/tmp just for the oracle 9i install?
I'm pushing the DBA's to get a solution from Oracle, but we don't know how
long that is going to take.
thanks,
Paul
