Hi guys

Also, I try connect just one Alpha to Ra3000, without the SCSI HUB, and the
problem persists.

I has tried terminate the kzpba-cb's with internal termination and using a
y-cable con a terminator, also I terminate the ra3000 (at Host I/O), but the
error (File open failed) doesn't disappear

Subject: UPDATE: RA3000, ES45 and 'File open Failed' error messages in SRM
console ...

Hi guys,

I have 2 AlphaServers ES45 with the last firmware installed, each Alpha has
1
KZPBA-BC; 1 RA3000 with just 1 shelf, 2 HSZ22
controllers (11xd), 2 host I/O.

On Wednesday, I was working fine with one Alphaserver connected to RA3000,
using 1 BN38C-05 plugged in to HOST IN of Host I/O 1,
and 1 BN37A-01 connected from HOST IN's Host I/O 1 to HOST OUT's Host I/O
0

Today, I changed the cabling with 1 SCSI HUB DWZZH-03, and I am using the
following guides for SCSI cabling:
<ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storageworks/raidstorage/RA3000cable.pdf>
(last page) and X:\STORAGE\SCSI\CONTROLLERS\DEC\HSZ22\host.html (where X is
your CDROM drive) from Prosic CD. I have all kind of SCSI cables.

Both KZPBA-CB are internally terminated.

Those are the SCSI ID for each controller:
Controller 1: SCSI ID 0
Controller 2: SCSI ID 1
KZPBA-CB on Alphaserver 1: SCSI ID 3
KZPBA-CB on Alphaserver 2: SCSI ID 4

The problem is that when I initialize the system and it makes the disk
testing, I receive this error : File open failed for dskb0.0.
0.1.3, and this is the complete error log (with "more el" SRM command)
