Cannot Register Service:RPC:Timed Out

Hello,

We have a DEC Alpha running v4.0. We are trying to connect remotely using
"rsh" but no success. I checked the "daemon.log" file and see the following
error:

inetd[390]:Cannot Register Service:RPC:Timed Out

Any ideas? Also, when we ftp/telnet remotely, it says connected, but takes
a while for the login prompt.
