Dear managers,
I need your opinion regarding a critical project:
It seams to be very difficult to let PBSPro run in an availablecluster
environment. The Problem is that PBSPro only listens on the hostname of
the host the PBS server is running on.
But our aim is to let PBS listen on the Cluster alias.
It seams that the only way to reach this is to change the hostname to the
cluster alias befor starting the PBS Server and change the hostname back
after the Server was started.
Well, this is working. But what will happen when we change the hostname
during the boot sequenze? Of cause the PBS server will be started within
an init script.
Can you perhaps imaging some difficulies?
