Hi there .. we have a Tru64 5.1 box I have just rebooted..
The 'monitor' display shows CPU # 2 having no user time but a lot of of 'nice' time .

The output from ps -elf shows 2 sessions with a nice value of -44 -- one a <defunct> process which was also there before the reboot.

    8001 I 0 1049311 1048577 0.0 44 0 2.0M - 22:03:15 0:00.69 /usr/sbin/envmond -ui cli
80008441 < 0 1049313 1049311 0.0 0 -44 0K - - 0:00.00 <defunct>

and also xntpd
    8001 S < 0 1049208 1048577 0.0 0 -44 376K event 22:03:10 0:00.03 /usr/sbin/xntpd -g -c /etc/ntp.conf

Has anybody else the same thing? Or comments? This box runs Oracle and it would be 'nice' to use both CPUs.
Thanks.
