Thanks to Dr. Thomas Blinn and Alan Rollow, who have indicated the following:
1.Those systems in the menu have nothing to do with DS20.
2.DS20 has ISA only, so you have to use RCM's isacfg utility, not ECU diskette.
3. The supported graphics adapters for
the DS20E are:
Powerstorm 300
Powerstorm 350
3D Labs Oxygen VX1
Powerstorm 4D51T
Elsa Gloria Synergy
So, following their advice I have swapped the ISA card with Elsa Gloria from another box.
Another box (AS255) was quite happy with ISA and the resolution sufficed.

I have recieved ECU diskette with our new DS20E,
and now I am trying to use it to configure ISA video card on this system
(believe me I've got my reason to do it).
After I run cf.exe from floppy, ECU asks me to make a choice from several systems boards
Here is the menu:
-DECpc AXP/150 System board
-Digital 800 Alpha Server Family System board
-Digital Alphaserver 1000, 1000A and Alphastation
-Digital Alphaserver 2100 Family System board
-Digital Alphaserver 4100 System board
-Digital Alphaserver 8200 and 8400 Family System
-Digital Alphastation 600 Family System Board
I wonder whether anything in this list have any relation to DS20E.
I don't know any of those, we are using XP1000s and ES40s.
Anyway I have expected a list of drivers, from which I would have chosen appropriate for my ISA video card.
