sendmail patch

hi all -

i've just applied the recent sendmail patch to our main server (Tru64
v5.1, PK6) and it ends by saying the usual "A system reboot of the patched
system is required for the successfully installed patches."

i'd prefer not to reboot and seeing as the kit only replaces a few files
(namely /usr/sbin/mailq, /usr/sbin/newaliases, /usr/sbin/sendmail,
/usr/sbin/sendmail.v8.9.3 and /usr/sbin/smtpd) surely all i need to
do is to stop and restart the sendmail process...?

or am i missing something here ?

thanks,

 john
