NIS issue with mixture of 5.1/4.0f

Greetings all...Thanks in advance!

I have 4 nis machines. 1 master, 3 slaves & 1 domain.
The master is 5.1, 2 of the slaves are 5.1 & the last
slave is 4.0f. I'm upgrading all to 5.1.

I've just upgraded the master & I get the following
error when I attempt to push the "hosts" to the
slaves:

"sh: test: unknown operator ENHANCED
*** Exit 1 (ignored)"
