  Hello,
I have received the following reply from Dr Thomas Blinn. Many thanks. He
wrote the following:

" I am only guessing here, but I bet Mathematica is trying to use a
Display PostScript functionality that used to be present in the
Tru64 UNIX X window system prior to V4.0F; it was provided to us
by Adobe Systems and when Compaq bought Digital they (Adobe) were
able to use an escape clause in the original license to allow them
to make us remove it. I am guessing that "motifps" is dependent
on the DPS functions, and they are not there. I bet that when it
is displaying to your PC, it doesn't try to use Display PostScript.

This is just some guessing, but it's informed guessing. Check the
Mathematica documentation; I don't think that "motifps" is part of
our standard product, it doesn't show up as product inventory on a
V5.1 system I checked, and I know it's not on V4.0G."

I have put my question to Wolfram also. But I have not yet received any
answer.
I would like to know whether it is possible to get facility on Tru64
machine? We have a number
of desktop Tru64 machines. I will be very thankful if I get get facility
on Tru64 machines.

  Thanks in advance,
   Kumar
