HSZ70 firmware question

Hello Managers,

I have resurrected a cluster which uses a dual-redundant HSZ70 for
shared storage. I want to run Tru64 V5.1A, but the firmware on the
HSZ70 controllers is at V7.3.

So, I finally found a source for the firmware upgrade (it is not
apparently available from HP / Compaq), but there is some confusion
about version numbers. Note that we are talking about the Tru64 HSZ70
Solutions kit, as I want to use SWCC to monitor the raidsets.

>From what I have been able to determine, the last firmware version for
HSZ70's are V7.7 (a? or z?), but the versions that my vendor found are
V8.4b and V8.5b. I suspect that these are version numbers for the
Solutions kit and not the firmware. Due to the scarcity of these
objects (my guy said these were the only two in North America), they
will not open the box to check the PCMCIA cards for version numbers. I
would like to be sure before I buy them that the firmware versions are
identical (and at V7.7a or above) for my configuration.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem for me?
