You cant get it, but you can see failures at the >>> with show power, this
also logs in nvram historical power events as well.

Subject: Where would a power failure be logged?

Managers,

I have a Alpha 4100 V4.0D with 3 power supplies, I had a power failure a
couple of days ago and lost one of the supplies. but I have not seen it
logged in the binerr.log or any of the syslod.dated files. syslogd is
running. I have tried to get it via snmp svrPowerSupplyStatus but envmond is
not running

I dont really want to have to use snmp to get the info.

Does anyone know if the hardware is capable of raising the event to the OS?
and where can i find it?

Cheers,
