newbie question

Hi,

I am a new to Tru64, so please forgive me
I recently got a Alpha & I had some problems with 'DT messaging could not be started, check /etc/hosts'
but I got this problem fixed.

I now have a new problem, when I click on some Icons on the desktop they do not run (Egg timer appears and does nothing)
eg. Account manager. But when I run dxaccounts from a terminal session it opens ok in the CDE.

The problem appears to be the path is not set inside CDE, whereas it is set when I open a terminal session?

Any help would be grateful
