AlphaserverES40 Console problem

Hi all,

There was a hardware problem in one of the Alphaserver ES40 for which I
replaced new ES40 Motherboard.
Now the CPU speed in ">>>show fru" displays 357MHZ in each CPU.

At the time of initialize it shows "****No Timer Interrupts on CPU0****"
Also I have observed that I 'm unable to save "set console graphics"
parameter. i.e. After switching off again the parameter comes back to
SERIAL.

I replaced another motherboard but facing same problem......

Can somebody guide me if this problem is related to Motherboard or CPU
or some configuration settings?
