Hi all,

I have recently upgrade our compaq alpha ES40 machine from tru64 5.0A to
tru64 version 5.1. This was successfull. However I need higher versions
of the fortran and c++ compilers. Therefore I wanted to mount the sofware
products library cd's but I can't seem to read any of those cd's. Mounting
with the command : #mount -r /dev/disk/cdrom0c /cdrom seems to mount the
cd, but when I try an ls command I get I/O error. Trying to mount with
#mount -rt cdfs -o noversion /dev/disk/cdrom0c /cdrom fails with the
message that there is no valid filesystem on /dev/disk/cdrom0c.

Since the manual for installing is also on the cd, it is kinda hard to
figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help me with this ?

Thx !
