Stephane,
The only way to get rid of the "stale" path is to use "hwmgr" to
delete the device and then scan it back in using "hwmgr -scan scsi". This
will bring it back as a different dsk<name> but then you can use the "dsfmgr
-m <new-name> <old-name>" to rename it back to dsk12. The drive(s) hat you
are doing this to cannot be in use or mounted while you do this.

Good luck,

        Bob

Subject: PATH STATE: stale

Hi everybody

My Configuration: TruCluster 5.1A with 2 KGPSA-CA (F/W 3.82a1) on each node.
Storage: Hitachi 9960 (HDS).

I defined 11 HDS-devices for my TruCluster. I have a stale path state (see
below) with only two devices. All other devices have two valid paths.

I'm more or less sure that the problem could be solved with a reboot but I
would like to know if it's not possible to solve this problem without
reboot.

In advance thanks.

Best regards,

Stephane
