I installed mysql server, I run it using
# cd /usr/local/mysql
# ./bin/safe_mysqld --user=mysql
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/data
Every time I tray to us the command /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql I get
this message
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)
Any idea
PS: I get this message in /usr/local/mysql/data/servername.err
030204 15:20:35 mysqld started
