It seems that the last supported version was 5.0A. 5.1 will run although
it it NOT suupported. 5.1a and latter will not run as the turbo channel code
has been removed.

Robert,
All turbochannel support was officially terminated starting with v5.1.
All turbochannel code was removed from Tru64 v5.1a.
In other words, all 3000 series systems are officially unsupported
starting with v5.1 (but it probably works) and v5.1a won't run on them at all.
That decision pissed off a lot of us who still have many 3000 series
systems in use.

I am surprised you can get V5.1A to run on those systems at all.
It was supposed to be made to not work at all.
The last SUPPORTED release for the DEC 3000 systems was V5.0A.
The last release that we believe probably works correctly but
is NOT SUPPORTED is V5.1.
You can run V4.0G more effectively than V5.1 -- it takes less
system resources, and was fully tested, which V5.1 was not.
So, you can run V5.1, but it's only really worth doing if you
have other systems running V5.1 or later releases and you want
them all running a V5.1 or later code base.

As far as I know, 5.1 is the latest version with
DEC3000 binaries, although officially unsupported.

The last supported version was 5.0A. 5.1 is unsupported but runs OK.
5.1A/B will not run since the code for the non-PCI buses have been
removed from the system.
