hi all
I posted asking about getting emc storage working with tru64 5.1a in
a SAN .

Most folks provided information about symmatrix storage, we are using the
Dell/EMC fc4700
clariion system. my system would hang when any SAN storage operation was
attempted.

The solution was adding the correct ddr entry for clariion to the ddr.dbase
file and rebuilding the dbase.

we got the entry from a clarriion tech papaer sent to use via dell. once we
added the entry, rebuild the ddr.dbase, rebooted and re presented the lun
from the storage, BINGO all worked. compaq hba and OS rock....once I had
the right info, it worked like a champ. thanks compaq and emc.

here is the ddr entry, if anyone wants to see it:
