Thanks for everyone who has sent replies, but they have all assumed
that I want to put AdvFS domains into LSM mirrors. I want to do just the
opposite.

The root filesystems are LSM now, and I want to make them AdvFS,
with the AdvFS domains consisting of the existing LSM volumes. The problem
that I'm having is this:

# df -k
Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity
Mounted on
/dev/vol/rootdg/rootvol 128767 68041 47849 59% /
/proc 0 0 0 100% /proc
/dev/vol/rootdg/usrvol 704990 339197 295294 54% /usr
sqdomain#sunquest 2054720 512 2048080 1%
/sunquest

# mkfdmn -r /dev/vol/rootdg/rootvol root_domain
/dev/rvol/rootdg/rootvol or an overlapping partition is open.
Quitting ....
mkfdmn: can't create new domain 'root_domain'

I can't create the domain from the root filesystem because it is
already in use.

thanks for any input
