Kernel parameters and multiple Oracle Homes on Tru64

Hi managers,

I am still building my Tru64 cluster (5.1a) which currently has Oracle
Apps 11i running an 8.1.7 database.

In addtion we intend to have a couple of 8i databases on the system.

I want to now install RAC 9.2 on this cluster and have been using the
book by Tim Donar as a guide
The book is recommending a number of changes to kernel settings, a lot
more settings that were every
considered in a 8/8i installation.

So the question I have should I be concerned about the affect of these
kernel settings with regards to the
8i database(s)
