hi all,
I asked the other day about tru64 on SAN. I received several reponses that
were all helpful in someway.
thanks you all who took the time to provide suggestions.

I am still experiencing the hang when I try to make a domain on my SAN.
here are the technical details.

host: DS-20
OS 5.1a
array Dell/EMC fc4700
compaq hba

what I can see from the host is
# /sbin/hwmgr -show scsi

SCSI DEVICE DEVICE DRIVER NUM DEVICE FIRST
HWID: DEVICEID HOSTNAME TYPE SUBTYPE OWNER PATH FILE VALID PATH
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
   53: 0 ruby cdrom none 0 1 (null)
   62: 1 ruby cdrom none 0 1 cdrom1 [2/0/0]
   63: 2 ruby disk none 0 4 dsk1 [0/0/0]
   64: 3 ruby disk none 0 4 (null)
#
hwid 63 and 64 are the two paths to the arrary. They show up as dsk1 and
dsk2 in /dev/disk
On our sun systems this is when powerpath would be used to tie the two
devices into one device for
OS use ( right?)

AS I understand powerpath feature are part of tru64 5.1a. Can anyone suggest
the next steps needed
to create a disk device usable by the OS? we are contact EMC support as
well, but I wanted to
ask here also. thanks for any suggestions.

Jeff
