Print problem - LAT

Hi

I've a print queue defined in my Tru64 unix server (v4.0f) which sends to a dot matrix printer LA210
was via DecServer. This printer is now connected to a print server via serial port. Using the original
printcap except for the Ts & Op parameters pointing to the terminal server & service names, printout
came with additional line spacing after each printed lines.

My original printcap was as follows :

lp2|2|mma2:\
        :af=/usr/adm/lp2acct:\
        :br#9600:\
        :ct=lat:\
        :fc#0177777:\
        :fs#023:\
        :lf=/usr/adm/lp2err:\
        :lp=/dev/lat/622:\
        :mx#0:\
        :of=/usr/lbin/lqf:\
        :pl#66:\
        :pw#132:\
        :sd=/usr/spool/lpd2:\
        :sh:\
        :xc#0177777:\
        :xf=/usr/lbin/xf:\
        :xs#044000:\
        :Op=PORT_12:\
        :Ts=DSSMMA:

I've tried changing the fs# to 010. There was no extra line spacing but I get stair stepping.

Any idea how I can resolve this? I've seen similar problems reported in the forum but being
novice user, I'm not sure how I can apply them in my case. Also, is there any where I can get a
complete listings of the flag bits information. The Tru64 sys admin manual only gave a couple
of examples (under chapter Administring the Print Services).

tks in advance
hawa
