hi,
I have a DS-20 running 5.1A.
I get the following panic string and a dump.
dbx -k vmunix.1 vmzcore.1
-g3: parameter values probably wrong
(dbx) p panicstr
0xfffffe04509771d8 = "domain panic promoted because the domain is the root
domain: bs_osf_complete: metadata write failed"
this happened about 30 minutes after a new kernel was installed with FC HBA
support.
The system would not boot after this panic. I powered down the cpu and
disk array. After a few minutes, powered disks and cpu on, booted find, has
been up a few hours - no load.
the system has been stable for several months before the new kernel was
installed yesterday.
thanks for any insight,
Jeff
