Hi list,
I added a DEGPA-TA GB ethernet card in a DS20 box running DU 4.0F.
This requires patch 859.00 from the Tru64 UNIX 4.0F Patch Kit 7 installed. However, this patch fails to install due to modification of ee.mod by OSHHWBIN101 (see also http://www.ornl.gov/cts/archives/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/2002/07/msg00132.html)
Solution seems to be this early release patchkit: http://ftp.support.compaq.com/public/unix/v4.0f/duv40fb18-c0074203-14212-e-20020503.README.
The prerequisites in this readme state:
- You must have installed Tru64 UNIX 4.0F PK7 (BL18) prior to installing
- this Early Release Patch Kit.
However, in this same readme under special instructions, I read
- This patch enables 4.0F Patch Kit 7 (BL18) to install on systems
- that have NHD3 installed. You need to execute the script installed
- by this patch BEFORE you install 4.0F Patch Kit 7 (BL18).
So, what is the correct way to solve this?
BTW: How can i determine hich NHD is installed?
