Greetings,
Sorry for the slightly OT..[Have it open with
proftpd.org list] ..but I can't get proftpd(any
version) to work (not compile) on tru64v5.1
Having problem logging into a proftpd server running
on tru64v5.1.
Here i was testing from within the same server. Same
problem from outside. I am logged in as such user,
that proftpd claims does not exist. So it must be
looking somewhere else.

Ran configure --without-pam (also --disable-pam)
tried both! No go!!
Also added to config file::
PersistentPasswd off
#AuthPAMAuthoritative off --this killed server, unable
to start it.
I am using plain /etc/passwd mechanism for
authentication.
Same proftpd.conf file works OK for v4.0G hosts.
No SIA enabled.
Anyone got it working?
