Applications on TruCluster 5.1A

Hey Admins,

Ran into a small problem this morning while trying to install and run an
Oracle 8.1.7 databse on a 2 server 5.1A cluster. We want the Database
server to be run as a service in CAA. We have the scripts all setup to
start and stop the database. The problem is that when the database files
are open and the database is running on one system, the database can
potentially be started(files opened) and run on the other system. Even
though in the best scenarios the support group would use the CAA manager to
start/stop/relocate applications, there is the possibility that someone
might try to run the database by hand. Anyone know of a tool or way to
prevent this from happening - the obvious method to me is to inject a check
(rsh - ps -ef | grep ora) into the start and stop script, but my gut feeling
is that someone had to think about this already otherwise?
